Children aged between four and seven years old have enjoyed preparing a ten minute piece of music, dance and drama based on the theme 'Bugs and Beasts' to perform for their friends and families on the big day.
The festival follows on from last year's very successful event and has grown in size with 12 of York's primary schools taking part. The pupils will also be involved in workshops run by specialist tutor.
Caroline Gilderdale, early years consultant for the Arts Service, said, "The Early Years Festival celebrates the talents and creativity of the pupils. It aims to raise the profile of the importance of the arts in the development in young children."
