Diane Lambert, of Foxwood Lane, Foxwood, has lost her council home after the court heard of a series of complaints about her from residents and the council's tenancy enforcement team.
Miss Lambert, 28, and her witnesses claimed that she had not been directly responsible for the nuisance, blaming local youths, poor sound insulation of properties and the actions of visitors to her home.
But yesterday (Tuesday, January 15) Judge Trevor Kent Jones decided that all the nuisance allegations had been proved and he granted a possession order to the council.
The court heard that between June 2000 and October 2001 residents in the area recorded 74 occasions when the household or its visitors caused a nuisance by playing loud music or shouting and swearing - often into the early hours. Judge Kent Jones praised the diligence of residents in keeping records of nuisance incidents.
The council had previously taken out an injunction against Miss Lambert and sent warning letters but these actions had failed to stop the nuisance.
Julie Thirlwell, the council's contracts manager for the area, said, "We are working hard to ensure that our residents can live peacefully in the city without constant nuisance from neighbours.
"Miss Lambert made life intolerable for her neighbours and continued in spite of several warnings. The council has given her several opportunities to behave more responsibly but her failure to do so has now cost her her home."
