Where to play

There are council run tennis courts at Glen Gardens, Hull Road Park and Rowntree Park  Please see below for details.

Courts are also available at Energise. 

Opening times

The parks open at 8am Monday to Friday and 9am Saturdays and Sundays, closing at dusk.

Costs

For the 2011 season costs are:                                   

• Adult: £6.50
• Concessions: £3.50 (concessions apply if you are over 60, registered disabled, unemployed, a full time student, receiving income support or working tax credit)

Costs are per court per hour (not per person).  There is no charge for playing at Hull Road Park.

Unfortunately, rackets and balls are not available to hire.

Booking

Courts are available on a pay and play basis. They are generally available at most times other than Wimbledon fortnight when they tend to be busier. Please see the on-site attendant to play.

If you are a tennis club, school or similar organisation who would like to block book courts, please contact the Business Support team, Communities and Culture, 18 Back Swinegate, York YO1 8ZD or telephone on 01904 553440. 

How to pay

Payment is made directly to the park keeper unless you are a club who has made a block booking. In this case your club will be sent an invoice.
