Where to play

There are council run tennis courts at Glen Gardens, Hull Road Park and Rowntree Park  Please see below for details.

Courts are also available at Oaklands Sports Centre. Please see the Oaklands Sports Centre site for details.

Opening times

The parks open at 8.00am and close at dusk.

Costs

For the 2008 season costs are:                                   

• Adult: £5.25
• Concessions: £3.15

Costs are per court per hour (not per person)

Booking

Courts are available on a pay and play basis. They are generally available at most times other than Wimbledon fortnight when they tend to be busier. Please see the on-site attendant to play.

If you are a tennis club, school or similar organisation who would like to block book courts, please contact the Business Support team, Lifelong Learning and Culture, 18 Back Swinegate, York YO1 8ZD or telephone on 01904 553385. 

How to pay

Payment is made directly to the park keeper unless you are a club who has made a block booking. In this case your club will be sent an invoice.
