The climbing centre opened in September 2006 and has the largest climbing wall in York. It has two main walls, 10m and 13m high, plus a 4m high bouldering wall.

Beginners and novices, aged five or over, and experienced climbers are welcome to use the wall.

With bolt-on holds from Rockworks and Enter-Prise and changeable volumes, the routes are re-set on a regular basis. There are 50 routes on 17 varied lines so everyone can enjoy a wide range of grades (F4 to F8a on the main walls and V0 to V9 on the bouldering wall).

Quality and safety are very important at Energise and we are a full member of the Association of British Climbing walls.
