Health Walks

FREE walks set off from Oaklands Sports Centre at 12.30pm once a month, next walks are on 20 November and 18 December. Walks last between 45 minutes and 1hr 15 minutes and are led by qualified Walking for Health staff. York Acorn Running Club

Do you like running to keep fit and healthy? If so, York Acorn Running Club would love you to join in their running sessions, whether you're young, old, fast or slow! Meeting at Oaklands on Wednesdays at 7pm, we look forward to seeing you there!

York Alpine Club

York Alpine Club climb frequently at Oaklands wall and have regular walking, climbing and mountaineering trips to the Dales, Moors, Peak District, and further afield to the Lake District, Wales, Scotland, and even the Alps!

We welcome enthusiastic adults of all abilities and can provide some coaching and advice. If you're interested in being active in the hills and crags then YAC is for you!

York Volleyball Club

York Volleyball Club sessions take place all year round, 8.15-10.15 pm on Tuesday nights.  We welcome everyone, whether you want to play matches or not, and provide coaching for beginners and less experienced players. We have 2 mens teams, a ladies team, and a mixed team playing in various leagues, and are working towards Sports Mark club accreditation (Volley 123).
