Opening times

Oaklands Sports Centre is open as normal over the Christmas period except as follows;

Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve - open 7am til 2pm

Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day - closed

£1 badminton

Available Monday to Friday 9am - 4.55pm from 22 December to 2 January.

Bookable up to 7 days in advance, courts cost £1 with a valid YORKCard if under 16s are playing, or £3.50 without.

Free racket hire is available with a £5 returnable deposit per racket.

£1 table tennis

Available Monday to Friday 7am - 4.55pm from 22 December to 2 January.

Bookable up to 7 days in advance, tables cost £1 with a valid YORKCard if under 16s are playing, or £2.70 without.

Free bat and ball hire is available with a £5 returnable deposit per bat.

£2 rollerblading

Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-10.55am from 22 December to 2 January. 

Limited skate hire available and included in the price. Just turn up and skate!

Fun sessions

A great mix of activities for 5 to 8 year olds, including bouncy castle, traditional games, skittles, parachute games, short tennis and table tennis. An action packed session to have fun and burn off some energy! All under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.

Session held on Monday 22 December 2.15-3.45pm. £3.50 per child (parents go free). 

Junior Sportsability

A sports and activities club for all disabled people aged 8 to 16 years. A fun session with activities and games such as boccia, skittles, poly-bat and connect 4 tailored to specific needs and abilities and led by our experienced staff.

Sessions are held every Tuesday 4.15 to 5.45pm* Cost £2.40 with free spaces for carers.

* There will be no junior sportsability session on 30 December.
