Our research service is charged at £6 per 15 minutes, but the first 15 minutes is free.

Self-service copies

• Microfilm/microfiche copies A4: 60p
• Microfilm/microfiche copies A3: 90p
• Copying of documents using your own camera: £3 daily facility fee

Copies produced by staff

Paper

• One order of up to 6 A4 sheets (or equivalent) including postage & packing: £6
• Each additional A4 sheet (or equivalent) on the same order including postage & packing: 70p

Digital

• In TIFF file format on disc, including postage & packing - first image: £8
• Additional TIFF images ordered at the same time: £5.25 per image
• In JPEG format on disc, including postage & packing- first image: £6
• Additional JPEG images ordered at the same time: £4.25 per image
• Additional fee for overseas postage: 10% of total order value

Our research service for commercial enquiries is charged at £6.40 per 15 minutes, with a minimum charge of  30 mins.

Copy documents for commercial use and publication

Digital copies will be supplied for initial research purposes at the prices above, plus a flat rate research and administration fee per enquiry of £16.

Reproduction licence fees for CYC copyright items

The following are all single-use, all media, non-exclusive 5 year licences.  Discounts may be available by negotiation for multiple image use.

Educational products, text books, York-based not-for-profit organisations

• UK licence: £13
• World licence (required if image is to be used on a website): £30

Other non-advertising printed media

• UK licence: £52.50
• World licence (required if image is to be used on a website): £79

Television/film/video factual or dramatic programming

• World licence (required if image is to be used on a website): £100

Commercial promotions and advertising media

• World licence (required if image is to be used on a website): £210
