The Family and Local History collection

Based on the first floor of York central library, the Family and Local History collection contains over 13,000 books and pamphlets about York, its surrounding area and Yorkshire as a whole.  See the Family and Local History page for more information about these resources.

Tuesday: 9.30am - 8.00pm
Wednesday: 9.30am - 5.30pm
Thursday: 9.30am - 5.30pm (closed until 1pm on the first Thursday of each month)
Friday: 9.30am - 8.00pm
Saturday: 9.30am - 4.00pm
