A range of affordable rooms are available for hire at Explore York, Explore Acomb, Clifton Library and Tang Hall Library. A full list of prices can be found below. At York and Acomb we offer catering with the rooms, ask the staff for information using the contact details below.

Explore York Library Learning Centre

There are three meeting rooms and an IT suite available for hire in the new York Explore centre in the centre of town (see the Map of Explore York). Catering is available. Marriott Room

This room will accommodate up to 50 people theatre style, and 30 boardroom style.

• Commercial organisations: £60 per hour, £400 per day (seven hours), or £100 per evening (5.30pm - 7.30pm)
• Non-commercial organisations: £35 per hour, £210 per day (seven hours), or £60 per evening (5.30pm - 7.30pm)

Garden Room

This room will accommodate up to 40 people theatre style, and 25 boardroom style.

• Commercial organisations: £50 per hour, £320 per day (seven hours), or £90 per evening (5.30pm - 7.30pm)
• Non-commercial making organisations: £30 per hour, £200 per day (seven hours), or £50 per evening (5.30pm - 7.30pm)

Brierley Room

This room will accommodate up to 20 people theatre style, and 15 boardroom style.

• Commercial organisations: £40 per hour, £260 per day (seven hours), or £70 per evening (5.30pm - 7.30pm)
• Non-commercial organisations: £25 per hour, £150 per day (seven hours), or £40 per evening (5.30pm - 7.30pm)

IT Media Suite

An IT training suite.

Explore Acomb Library Learning Centre

Three meeting rooms and an IT suite are available to hire in Explore Acomb Library Learning Centre, to the West of the City (Map of Explore Acomb). Catering is available. Room 1 will accommodate up to 30 people theatre style, and 20 boardroom style.

• Commercial organisations: £45 per hour, £300 per day, or £120 per evening (5.30pm - 8.30pm)
• Non-commercial organisations: £30 per hour, £190 per day, or £80 per evening (5.30pm - 8.30pm)

Room 2

Room 2 will accommodate up to 12 people theatre style, and 12 boardroom style.

• Commercial organisations: £25 per hour, £160 per day
• Non-commercial organisations: £15 per hour or £85 per day

Room 3 (IT suite)

An IT training suite.

• Commercial organisations: £700 per day
• Non-commercial organisations: £350 per day

Room 4

Room 4 will accommodate up to 20 people theatre style, and 15 boardroom style.

• Commercial organisations: £35 per hour or £230 per day
• Non-commercial organisations: £25 per hour or £160 per day

The whole Explore Centre is available to hire on Wednesdays for £600.

Clifton Library

Tang Hall Library

Tang Hall Library Meeting Room accommodates up to 12 people boardroom style, and has tea/coffee making facilities.
