There is no charge to borrow books and audio books providing they are returned by the agreed date. DVDs and CDs carry a charge.
These are the charges for holders of an 'adult' membership (18 years and over).

Audio visual subscription
Please note that York Libraries no longer sell audio-visual subscriptions. If you have an existing subscription your reduced hire charges for CDs and DVDs will apply until your year-long subscription expires (50p for CDs and £1.60 for DVDs).
