York Register Office
Recently restored to its former glory, York Register Office is a grade II Georgian listed building set a few hundred yards from the Minster. It boasts a traditionally styled marriage room (seating 50) which opens out into beautifully landscaped gardens.
Staff at York Register Officer will advise you about registering births and deaths, arranging civil marriage or partnership ceremonies, baby naming ceremonies and renewing vows.

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
Saturday 10am to 3pm (By Appointment Only)
