The City of York Council area contains 65 maintained schools with over 23,000 pupils enrolled in our schools.  Our schools include community, voluntary controlled, voluntary aided and academy schools for children aged 5-18.   In this section you will find information on each school, how to apply for a place at a school, and support and advice available from the local authority
