Several residents meet on the first Tuesday of each month (except bank holidays), 4.00pm at Carr Junior School to look at setting up a residents association. They are looking for more residents to get involved in the community in your area. You can spend as much time as you like, or any time you can spare. The neighbourhood management officer will support the organising of meetings as well as guiding you through everything you need to do to identify any issues in your area and come up with solutions that we can implement together.
A residents' association is a group of local people who meet regularly to talk about things that affect them. Councillors, council officers, estate managers and the safer neighbourhood police team can be invited to the meetings. It can give you access to improvement grants and free training as well as giving you a really good way of getting together to take some control over what happens in your area.
If you would like to know more about getting involved or you have a question about this area then please contact your Neighbourhood Management Officer Julie Hood on (01904) 551812.
