The re-licensing programme for HMOs applies to premises whose initial five year licence is due to expire.  Licence holders will be sent renewal applications in the post prior to the expiry of their licence.

Through the previous licence programme required standards will already have been achieved through compliance with licence conditions. 

The licence renewal programme will:

• ensure that existing licence conditions continue to be met
• introduce new licence conditions which the licence holder will have two years to meet
