The Housing Health and Safety Rating System (known as 'HHSRS' or 'The 'Rating System') is the method of evaluating potential risks to health and safety from any deficiencies identified in dwellings. It replaces the Housing Fitness Standard of the Housing Act 1985.
The underlying principle of the HHSRS is that 'all residential premises should provide a safe and healthy environment for any potential occupier or visitor'.
A Landlord's guide to the Housing Health and Safety Rating System is available to download to the right of this page.
