Marjorie Waite Court

Marjorie Waite Court is covered by the sheltered housing with care service. It is situated just off Burton Stone Lane, next to Burton Stone Community Centre and York Warden Call. The shops, supermarket, pharmacy and post office are all within easy walking distance, and there is a regular bus service into the town centre.

There are 22 flats in the main building, both one and two-bedroomed, and a further 20 properties attached to the building for which the warden has responsibility. A lift and 4 staircases provide access to all floors. Some flats have balconies. All flats have a telephone point, television socket and central heating.

Facilities

The building is fully covered by a fire alarm system with smoke detectors in all corridors, and each flat is fitted with a heat detector.

Outside there is a very pleasant enclosed garden, with greenhouse, summerhouse and seating areas.

Storage areas are available.

There is limited parking space for tenants.

A midday meal is provided on some days of the week. The warden will be able to give you more details about this, including charges for meals.

Tenants' meetings

Tenants' meetings are held regularly. Marjorie Waite Court is in the area covered by Clifton Residents' Association, and all tenants are welcome to attend these meetings.
