Residents' associations focus on housing concerns such as repairs and community issues such as the environment and crime.
Residents' and community associations are recognised by the council. They play an important role in building local communities, contributing to the making of policy and the delivery of services to tenants in York.
There are currently 21 associations that serve residents across the city, each with a geographically defined area. You can join if you are resident within the boundaries of the association, regardless of whether you are a council tenant or own your house.
Contact us if you are unsure which area you are in.
