Applying for a council property

We are now a member of North Yorkshire Home Choice. North Yorkshire HomeChoice is  a choice based letting (CBL) scheme.

This is a new way of allocating council properties and partner housing association properties for rent and shared ownership properties for sale.

Applicants are able to choose from properties throughout the local authority areas of Craven, Hambleton, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough, Selby and York.

    Some properties across the city are to be let using choice based lettings: a property is advertised and applicants express an interest in a property by 'bidding' for it
  • Housing associations
    Housing associations provide a range of accommodation for rent and in some cases shared ownership
