We will not accept any form of anti-social behaviour and will take action to stop this against anyone who causes anti-social behaviour.

Anti-social behaviour is any kind of nuisance behaviour, unreasonable behaviour or harassment that prevents people enjoying their homes peacefully and quietly.
Some examples of these are
It is always best if you can solve problems with your neighbour by talking to them. You can politely explain the effect that they are having on your life. You should also listen to their point of view. A solution is often found in this way.
Some tips:
Be prepared to compromise. Your neighbour may have concerns or problems that you do not know about.
If you cannot solve the problem by talking to your neighbour you may need further help and advice.
Your estate manager can help you sort out problems with your neighbours by giving you advice or taking action on your behalf. This team includes the Tenancy Enforcement Manager, Tenancy Enforcement Officers, the Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator with the police and City of York Council Legal Services. The most serious nuisance cases are passed on to this team to find solutions. Legal action will only be taken by this team where it is really needed. If you have a dispute with a neighbour you can take part in neighbour mediation.
All emergencies and acts of a criminal nature should be reported to the police by dialling 999.
The police can also take action in many other situations including harassment, dogs, playing football on the road, parking on the pavement and grass verges or making malicious phone calls.
