Using maps to report a problem

The map will open to show the location you have chosen.

Moving around the map

You can move the map by clicking on the Hand button to the left of the map, and then dragging the map around the screen.

You can zoom in or out, to show more or less detail, by using the magnifying glass buttons to the left. The button with a + sign zooms in closer, and the one with a - sign zooms further away.

To mark a point on the map (e.g. the site of the problem) click on the i button, and then on the point on the map. A red star will appear.

Displaying other icons on the map

If your problem is connected with:

  • street lights
  • gullies or drains
  • street furniture
  • street name plates
  • seats
  • signs
  • bus stops, or
  • bollards

click on the closed folder icon next to the word 'Highways' on the right of the map, and then click in the square next to the appropriate item, to see them displayed on the map.

Example

To display all the bus stops on the map, the list should look like this:

If your problem is connected with:

  • household refuse collection
  • dog bins
  • litter bins

follow the instructions above but click on 'Neighbourhood Services' first, instead of 'Highways'.
