Respite care provides a short break for someone who is caring for themselves, or provides a carer with a break from caring.
Day respite can be provided to offer short break periods in a range of different ways, either in or away from the home.
For many carers a break is essential to maintain the caring role.
It may also be possible to access services provided by the private and voluntary sector. See further information for carers - break services for details.
In most cases you will need an assessment of your needs or carer assessment before a service is provided.
Anyone receiving a service will be assessed financially to see if they have to pay towards the cost of it.
Contact us and we will arrange for someone to contact you to discuss your needs.
