What services do we provide?

  • Assessment of individual needs.
  • Information, advice and support.
  • Access to interpreter and translation services.
  • Confidential counselling help with personal problems and family matters.
  • Specialist equipment.
  • Rehabilitation and mobility training.
  • Access to other services provided by the council.
  • Registration of people who live in York who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing, blind/partially sighted or deafblind.
  • Help and support for people who are finding it difficult coming to terms with their hearing, sight or dual sensory loss.
