  Children's Centres are places where children under five years old and their families can go to get services in their local area. They offer a huge range of support including childcare, parenting, family support services and much more

• Looked after children
  When children are unable to live with their own families we have a duty to 'look after' them and provide accommodation for them
• Naming ceremonies
  York Register Office conducts naming ceremonies to celebrate the arrival of a new baby into your family. Ceremonies can also be used to welcome adoptive children and step-children into a new relationship.
• Out of hours social services support
  The Emergency Duty Team is the contact point for all social care and housing enquiries outside of normal office hours
