Recycling

There are many recycling banks in public places around the city. Please be considerate to residents living near the banks by not using them before 8.00am or after 8.00pm, and do not leave recycling or rubbish next to or on top of the recyling banks.

There are many community groups in York collecting waste materials for recycling or reuse.

All of York's household waste recycling centres (tips) have facilities for garden waste, motor oil, scrap metal, and fridges.
