Energy Saving Trust advice centre

The City of York Council  works in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust advice centre to help householders, businesses and communities save money, energy and the environment.

About the advice centre

The Energy Saving Trust is a non-profit organisation funded by Government to provide free and impartial advice on saving energy.

Expert advisors can tell you how to save money in the home with simple energy saving tips, talk to you about generating your own energy with renewable technology and advise on driving down your fuel costs with sustainable transport options.

Your local Energy Saving Trust can:

  • Recommend energy saving products and services to help reduce your carbon footprint.
  • Inform you about the grants and discounts available in the area to help towards the cost of installing energy saving measures.
  • Organise a free, no obligation survey for your home with an accredited local installer.

For more information including how to generate your own renewable electricity and receive an income through the feed-in-tariff,  call free on 0800 512 012 or visit the Energy Saving Trust website.
