York Air Pollution Reports

We are required to submit regular reports on air quality to the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The main purpose of each report is summarised in the table below. Full copies of all the reports can be downloaded from our 'JorAir Reporter' website.

First Stage Review and Assessment of Air Quality in York To identify which pollutants required detailed monitoring and modelling December 1998
Second and Third Stage Review and Assessment of Air Quality in York To report results of initial monitoring and modelling of sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and particulate concentrations in York February 2001
Fourth Stage Review and Assessment of Air Quality in York To confirm the need to declare an AQMA due to elevated nitrogen dioxide concentrations and to estimate how great a reduction in emissions is required. January 2003
