Thank you to all of you who took part in the Hungate Community Facilities Consultation in July. A report summarising the results of this consultation is available to download from the right hand side of this page. This report aims to collate new and old ideas of what form the community space could take and feed back the main themes arising from analysis of responses.

Hungate is a site in the City Centre next to the River Foss. Outline planning permission was granted in 2005 for a mixed use scheme including offices, housing, shops, a new bridge over the River Foss and a focal building to include community space. The development will be set within a framework of city squares, riverside piazzas and green spaces. 8000sq.ft of community space has been secured as part of the outline planning permission.
