Under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, we have a duty to prepare an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR). The AMR reports on Core indicators set by the government to monitor the implementation of planning policies. It also reports on the progress of the Local Development Framework set out by the Local Development Scheme.

This AMR is for the emerging Local Development Framework (LDF). However, as City of York do not yet have an adopted LDF, the AMR relates to policies set out in the Development Control Draft Local Plan (April 2005). The latest AMR covers the period 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009 and is available to download from the righthand side of this page.

The 2008/2009 report is the fifth AMR produced and covers the following areas:

• Describes progress in starting work on the new LDF
• Presents monitoring data for the year
• Details how our monitoring work will be expanded and developed.

Future AMRs will be made available via this page as they are produced. The next AMR, which will cover the period 1 April 2009 to 31 March 2010, will be published in December 2010.
