City of York Council are part of the York in Bloom partnership, a group of like minded partners all committed to making York a better place to live, work and visit. The York in Bloom partnership includes individual volunteers, representatives from the private sector and educational establishments.
Working with, and recognising the efforts of many individuals, residents, businesses and other organisations in the community, York in Bloom helps to make York a clean, safe, green and healthy city.
We are proud of our city and care about the look of the city and it's environment.
As part of the York in Bloom / York Business Pride initiative we can offer sponsorship opportunities for roundabouts and other flora sites. If you are interested please contact Street Scene.
We are also able to offer the opportunity to sponsor daffodil planting on the Bar Walls. A minimum donation of £35 will pay for 250 bulbs to be planted. For more details contact Parks and Open Spaces, Lifelong Learning and Culture, City of York Council, 18 Back Swinegate, York YO1 8ZD.
We want to show the judges as many examples of the best places in York, and what is going on in York to improve our city. Liz Levett is our York in Bloom co-ordinator so let her know what is going on in your neighbourhood or any suggestions you have by emailing liz.levett@york.gov.uk
