How much does it cost?

The annual charge is made up of three parts. The rent for your plot, which will depend on the size, a charge for water, and a livestock charge, paid by tenants keeping livestock on their allotment garden. Please see the table below.

The charge is lower if you are over 60, registered disabled, unemployed, a full time student or receiving income support or working tax credit.

When you first rent an allotment you will be asked to pay a deposit of £30, or £15 for concessions. If you decide to give up your allotment the deposit will be returned to you, providing you leave the plot in the condition in which you took it on, or better.
