Other allotments in York
In addition to the allotments managed by City of York Council, there are over 20 other allotment sites in the city.
In parish areas the parish council is responsible for the provision of allotments. At present 12 parishes within the City of York Council area provide allotments for their residents. Where the site is managed directly by the parish council, the link on the list below will take you to contact details for the parish clerk.
Some parish sites are self-managed by an allotment association. The Allotments Administrator can give you contact details for the site secretary. New Lane allotment site in Strensall is managed by City of York Council on behalf of the parish council. Please see the council run allotments pages for information on this site.
There are also a number of independently managed sites. Bustardthorpe is a self-managed City of York Council site, run by tenants through their allotment association. Contact details for all these sites are available from the Allotments Administrator.
