Glen allotments

Four years ago half the plots on this site were vacant and smothered with weeds or brambles. Now the site is fully tenanted with a lively allotment association.

Thanks to funding from the ward committee and the hard work of allotment tenants, facilities at Glen allotments include a site cabin, used for meetings and storage, a children's plot gardened by after-school clubs from Tang Hall and Heworth primary schools, easy access beds for gardeners with disabilities, a compost toilet and a new, accessible community garden plot.

There is currently a short waiting list for plots at this site.
