Animal health and welfare
The Animal Health Service is responsible for enforcing laws regarding the health and welfare of non domestic animals, the control of dogs, and issuing animal licences
Animal licences
Licences for boarding animals, exotic dangerous and wild animals, pet shops and riding establishments
Checks on the movement of livestock
The movement of animals from livestock markets is licensed by us. We monitor the welfare of the animals moved and in the event of a disease outbreak trace the animals to prevent the spread of disease
Dog warden service
To report dog fouling, stray dogs, missing dogs, noisy dogs or attacks by dogs ring the dog warden hotline
Annual report
In this report we summarise the work and achievements of the teams that deliver these services and report the results of how satisfied our customers were with our work
