Also available on this page is the Guide to School Catchment Areas which may help you ascertain whether you are resident in catchment area of a preferred school. However, please always check specific addresses with us directly, by either phone or email.
We advise all parent/carers to apply online, but a copy of a paper Common Application Form is available upon request.
Applications must be received by 31 October 2011 (Secondary), or 15 January 2012 (Primary).

If you are not resident in the City of York local authority area, then you should apply to your home local authority, even if you wish to apply for a York school. Our neighbouring local authorities are North Yorkshire County Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council .
