Bail and Remand
If a young person pleads not guilty at court, the case will be adjourned for a trial. The court can decide to impose bail or remand.
There will be somebody from York YOT at all court hearings. After bail or remand has been imposed, sombody from York YOT will explain the consequences of bail or remand to the young person and their family or carers at court.
A bail package is always tailored to the individual young person and their risk to the public.
Conditions of bail may include:
- Comply with the YOT
- Curfew
- Live in a particular place
