This page tells you how to get copies of certificates of civil partnerships that took place in York only.

What information do I need?

You need the date and place where the civil partnership occurred, and the names of the persons involved.  The more information you have the easier it is to find the correct entry.  We can supply full copies of extracts (which do not include the addresses of the parties).  They are the same price but if you want a full copy you must supply the addresses of the parties at the time of the formation of the civil partnership.

Costs

If you wish us to send your certificate by first class post the same day that we receive your application, then the fee is £15.

If you wish us to send your certificate by guaranteed next day delivery and apply before 3pm, then the fee is £25.

If you apply by post and pay £9, we will send your copy certificate out within 10 working days by second class post.

If you apply in person at the register office, we will supply your certificate as soon as possible (usually within 30 minutes of submitting your application) on payment of £18.
