The grave area at the council's Dringhouses cemetry has now been closed to new interment plots.

However, families who have burial rights to existing plots may still be interred at Dringhouses. A family plot normally has three burials, but some have room for up to five burials.

Interment of cremated remains in a casket

An alternative form of burial is available. You can buy the right to have the cremated remains of up to two people interred.

The purchase of a cremated remains plot secures the Exclusive Right of Burial to the deed holder. Deeds can be transferred to another person or bequeathed in a will.
