York Business Week

York Business Week 2011 will be held between 14 and 18 November.

The aims of York Business Week are:

  • Increasing awareness of York as a place for business creation, growth and sustainability;
  • Increasing positive attitudes and skills towards enterprise
  • Raising awareness of the support services available locally for both existing and new businesses
  • Celebrating York's success in business

York Business Conference

York Business Conference takes place on the morning of Friday 18 November at FERA, Sand Hutton. 

This event - at which senior economists, financial experts and commentators from the business world will present - will focus on growth and development. 

The speakers will set York in the context of national and global economic opportunities and challenges while Cllr James Alexander, Labour Leader City of York Council, will present York's own economic strategy. 

Workshops will focus on high growth, business support, internationalisation and exports and mentoring new businesses.
