We provide and arrange supported employment and work placements for adults with a disability.

The service

You can use the service if you:

• have a disability and face barriers to finding and keeping employment
• you want to work for a minimum of 16 hours per week or you want to do a work placement with an employer

We can help if you live in York. We also sometimes help North Yorkshire residents.

We provide:

• help with applying for jobs and attending job interviews
• 30 day work placements to increase your skills and confidence in the workplace
• practical support to yourself and your employer once you have found a job
• opportunities for your personal development through training and the setting of work related and personal goals
• help and support so that you can progress to unsupported employment where this is right for you.

You will need to be seen by a Disability Employment Adviser to confirm your eligibility for the service.
