Private hire operator's licence
All new operator's licence applications are referred to the council's planning department so applicants must provide detail of where the vehicles will be parked. If planning permission is required applicants must obtain it before licences are issued.
If you buy an existing private hire business you must still complete an application form and pay the relevant fee for a new licence.
Naming restrictions
Artwork for the company side plates must be submitted to the council for approval before the issue of the operator's licence.
