You need permission from us to place any hoarding on any part of the highway. A highway includes not only the road but also footways and verges.

Permission is valid for the duration of the works.

Are there any rules?

If pedestrian access is restricted to less than 1.2m then a temporary footway must be provided, including traffic warning measures.

Is there any cost?

It costs £48.00 to get permission.  This is an initial charge which covers your application and one months permission. Subsequent months will be charged at £27.00 per month (or part).
