You need permission from us to place any hoarding on any part of the highway. This includes the road, footways and verges.

Permission is valid for the duration of the works.

Are there any rules?

If pedestrian access is restricted to less than 1.2m then a temporary footway must be provided, including traffic management measures.

Is there any cost?

It costs £75.00 to get permission.  This is an initial charge which covers your application and a 28 day licence. Subsequent period(s) or part thereof will be charged at £50.00.

Late applications (within 5 working days) will be subject to an additional £15.00 charge.

If a defect notice is issued because the Hoarding does not meet the required standards within the Terms and Conditions of the licence, an additional £15.00 will be invoiced. 

An invoice will be sent to you for all fees and charges.
