Petroleum licence

You need a licence to store petroleum spirit.

If you want to store petroleum with a view to dispensing it into the fuel tank of an internal combustion engine (eg into a vehicle in a petrol station) then you need a licence. You will need to follow safety rules about how to store petroleum, please contact trading standards for further advice - details to the right of this page. The standard conditions for a petrol filling station licence are also on the right of this page.
