Housing benefit - change of circumstances

You must tell us immediately if your circumstances or anyone in your households change. For example

  • changes in address
  • changes in income (wages, benefits, pensions) or savings
  • income support starts or stops
  • dependant children leave school
  • rent changes
  • someone else comes to live with you.
  • If you move house you must fill in a change of address form.

If you are on pension credit, income support or jobseekers allowance you must tell the Pensions Service or Jobcentre Plus about your new address.

You can download forms to let us know about a change in circumstances on the right hand side of this page.  Return completed forms to the Benefits Section postal address.
